Simple Mermaid

So one of my close friends has been telling me that she has fallen out of practice of making art even though she loves it. In response I suggested a 30 day challenge. She chose a mermaids challenge so here is mermaid #1 a simple mermaid. My goal is to try a variety of styles and methods throughout this process. Just gunna keep it loose. Wish us luck.

I'm starting to design some characters for a storyboard I plan to produce. Have to admit the design is totally based on me, but I figured I could get great source reference for expressions!
